Roger L. Bosley Sr., 64, of Harriott Ave., Oil City, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 14, 2016 shortly after his arrival in the emergency room at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
Roger was born in Oil City on July 10, 1951. He was the son of the late Guy and Fern Renninger Bosley. Roger was a graduate of Cranberry High School. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and professional wrestling, and going to car shows, but he most especially loved the company of his grandkids. In his earlier years, Roger had been employed at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry.
He is survived by his sons, John A. Bosley and his fiance, Crystal Walter, and Roger L. Bosley Jr. and his girlfriend, Randi S. Miller, all of Oil City; seven grandchildren, Tyra, Jaedan, Chasity, Aerionna, Noah, Kyler and Quintin; two brothers, Robert Bosley and his wife, Jackie, of Clintonville and Gerald Bosley of Oil City; two sisters, Wanda Mathers and Diane Diamond both of Oil City; his sons' mother and former wife, Kathleen Hanna of Meadville; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Bosley.
Friends will be received at the Hile-Best Funeral Home Inc., 2781 Rt. 257, Seneca, Cranberry Twp., from Noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. David A. Foote, pastor of the Franklin Baptist Temple, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry.
