Dennis C. Botelho

            Dennis Charles Botelho, 53, of Knox and formerly of Rockland, most recently residing in Leeper, died at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. 

            He was born to the late Manuel and Winifred (Dawes) Botelho in New Bedford, Massachusetts on November 5, 1963.

            Dennis attended Cranberry High School.  He was a member and enjoyed attending the Rod and Gun Clubs in Knox and Fryburg. 

            Mr. Botelho was affiliated with the Rockland United Methodist Church. 

            Denny enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing and tractor pulls, and spending time in his garage working on vehicles. 

            In his earlier years he was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Local Union #341 based in Pittsburgh, until declining health no longer permitted. 

            He is survived by his former spouse, Bobbie (Boyd) Botelho and her daughters, Lynne Steel and Rebecca Renninger; several grandchildren; a sister, Donna Pritchard of Sharpsville; two brothers, Donald Pritchard and his wife Susan, and Duane Botelho, all of Rockland; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Winnie, Corey, and Christopher Botelho. 

            Also surviving is his companion, Jolene Solomon and her two daughters, Zoey Solomon and Leanne Wentling, all of Leeper; and dear family friends, Forest and Pearl Potter of Rockland, whom looked after Dennis following the death of his mother. 

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David M. Botelho. 

            Friends will be received Monday (Feb. 20) from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township, where the funeral service will follow Monday at 3 p.m. with Rev. James Kimmel, pastor of Rockland United Methodist Church, officiating. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to assist Denny's family with funeral expenses may be made to Hile-Best Funeral Home, P.O. Box 245, Seneca, PA  16346.
