Beverly A. Beach

Beverly A. Beach, 61, of Upper Sage Run Road in Oil City, died Saturday evening, August 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 15, 1954 in Oil City, the daughter of Hubert W. Sharp and the late Patty A. (Dunkle) Sharp.

Beverly graduated in 1975 from Franklin High School. She then obtained training to become a nurse's aide and an E.M.T.

She served as a leader for the Cranberry Girl Scouts troop.

Bev enjoyed auto racing, and even participated in car racing in her earlier years. She also enjoyed singing karaoke, glass painting, riding four-wheelers and motorcycles, and attending auctions. She hunted, fished, camped, and boated with her family, whom she loved spending time with, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Beach was employed as a nurse's aide for many years, working at the Franklin and Oil City Hospitals, and then UPMC Northwest. She also worked at the Presbyterian Home in Oil City, and enjoyed caring for her patients.

She was married in Dempseytown on November 20, 1971 to John E. Beach, and he survives.

Also surviving is her father, Hubert W. Sharp of Oil City; two daughters, Tammy Bodien and her husband Ed, and Karen Kapp and her husband Ryan, all of Oil City; a step-son, John Beach and his wife Jamie, of Oil City; nine grandchildren: Ashley and Jessica Bodien, Makayla, Alyssa, and John Kapp, and Kate, John, Dylan, and Bailey Beach; and two great-grandchildren, Aubree and Amir.

Also surviving is her brother, William Sharp and his wife Heather of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Patty Sharp; and a grandson, Zachary Proper.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until noon in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at noon. A committal service and interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery, Rockland Township, Kennerdell.
