Obituary

Sue A. Stuck, 83, of Oil City, was called home to our Lord Jesus Christ and Savior on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

She was born August 10, 1939 in Oil City to the late Walter and Hazel (Johnson) Brockway.

    She attended Oil City schools.

Sue had a special relationship with Jesus and had attended Christ Community Church in Oil City where she sang in the choir, and also attended Grace Baptist Church in Seneca.

Sue was an avid gardener and loved houseplants and flowers.  She also spent time outdoors hiking and bicycling.  She enjoyed puzzles, reading her Bible and Amish books, and spending time with her family. The bond between Sue and her children and grandchildren was one defined by love, wisdom, grace, strength and unending prayers.  Sue was the type of person who always put the needs of others above her own.

She worked as a caretaker in the home of the Boyle family of Oil City for many years.

Sue was married in Franklin on March 13, 1981 to David E. Stuck, and he survives.  They recently celebrated 42 years of marriage together.

Also surviving are three children, Stephen Blauser, Melanie Letta and husband Nick, and Pamela Voigt and husband Frank, all of Oil City; nine grandchildren: Sabrina Buzard and Jason Reagle and their children Jordan and Jacie Reagle, Linda Moffitt and husband Eric and their children, Robbie, Elliott and Emma Moffitt,  Nicholas Letta and his child Ivy Letta, Leigh Ann Letta, Stephanie McMaster and husband Brandon and their children Karter Pratt and Koleson McMaster, Andrew O’Neil, Marcella Voigt, Joshua Voigt, and Deanna Voigt.  Numerous nieces and nephews and close friends also survive. Sue had a special friendship with Darla Boocks and her husband Tom.

In addition to her parents, Walter and Hazel Brockway, she was preceded in death by her step-mother Ruth Brockway, her former husband Harold Blauser, a daughter Cheryl Blauser, two grandsons Daniel Kulling and Stephen O’Neil, three sisters Delores, Pat and Vivian, and a brother Walter Jr.

Visitation for friends and family will be held Thursday (March 30) from 1 - 3 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday (March 31) at 5 p.m. with Pastor Travis Earp of The Living Word Church, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, 286 S. Main St., Seneca PA  16346.
