Stella "Snook" Siverling Obituary

                 Stella V. "Snook" Siverling, 85, of Seneca, went Home to the Lord Monday afternoon, August 26, 2024 at Hamot Hospital in Erie, with her loving family at her side. 

                She was born in Franklin on October 2, 1938 to the late Wallace and Lucy (Ritchey) Keith. 

                She was a 1956 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. 

                Snook volunteered at UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca, was active with the Cranberry Area Food Pantry, and the Red Hat Ladies Society-Oil Valley Scarlet Ladies. 

                She was an active member of the former Seneca United Methodist Church where she attended the Builder's Sunday School Class and was part of the blanket ministry. 

                Snook enjoyed playing cards, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

                She was employed at Mong's Dairy for ten years and later worked at Malachy McMahon Insurance for twenty-one years. 

                She was married in the Galloway Church on April 12, 1957 to Vernon Siverling, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 2007.

                She is survived by two children, a daughter, Rainie Siverling of Seneca, and a son, Keith Siverling and his wife Cheri, also of Seneca; four grandchildren, Kyle Siverling and his wife Nicki of Pittsburgh, Kasey Thiel and her husband Ryan of Pittsburgh , Josh Harman of Oil City, and Chelsea Galletta and her husband Mike of Kokomo, Indiana; and two great-grandchildren, Brody Siverling and Lyla Thiel.  Snook was awaiting a third great-grandchild to be born in December, Ryon Christopher Galletta.

                Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Lucille Keith of Beaumont, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

                In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd Keith, Virgil (Jean) Keith, and Richard Keith; and her sister, Grace Usoff.  Snook was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  

                Visitation will be held Thursday (Aug. 29) from 3 - 8 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, and also on Friday (Aug. 30) from 10 - 11 a.m.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. William E. Hastings, officiating.  Private interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
