Sherry Ann Franklin

            Sherry Ann Franklin, 64, of Seneca, died at UPMC Northwest Hospital on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

            She was born in Oil City on May 23, 1959 to JoAnn K. (Russell) Heckathorn and the late Guy Edward Heckathorn. 

            She was a 1978 graduate of Cranberry High School. 

            Sherry Ann was active with her children in the 4-H program and fairs. 

            She was a member of the Heckathorn United Methodist Church. 

            Sherry enjoyed ceramics, her dogs and cats, and spending time with her family and her grandson. 

            She was married in 1989 to William Franklin, and he preceded her in death in 2004.

            She is survived by her mother, JoAnn Heckathorn of Seneca; a daughter, Carol Ann Franklin of Franklin; and a step-son, Benjamin Franklin (Alicia Wilson) and their son William of Seneca.  Also surviving is a brother, Richard Heckathorn and wife Charlene of Maysville, North Carolina; two sisters, Kimberley Davis and husband Thomas of Polk, and Jane Zimmerman and husband David of Cheektowaga, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

            She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, and a sister, Karen L. Davis. 

            Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or public service held.  A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held in Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca. 

            Funeral arrangements are being completed by Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca.
