Sara Schosser Obituary

          Sara J. Schosser, 84, of Oil City, formerly of Bredinsburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 15, 2024 at the Collins Hospice House in Rocky Grove. 

          She was born in Franklin on August 2, 1940 to the late Arnold C. and Edith M. (Hayes) Wright. 

          She was a graduate of Franklin High School. 

          Sara was of the Catholic faith. 

          Sara enjoyed playing Bingo, watching game shows, spending time with her family and friends, attending monthly luncheons with her former classmates, and going camping with her family. 

          In her earlier years, she was employed by the Venango County Sherriff's Office.  She then worked at the Franklin Hospital for many years, and retired from Sugarcreek Station. 

          She was married in Virginia on August 2, 1969 to John P. "Jack" Schosser.  They were married for 43 years, until his passing on February 18, 2012.

          She is survived by two sons: John Schosser of Oil City and Joseph Schosser and his significant other, Tina Wolbert, also of Oil City; and two grandchildren, Nick and Nichole.  Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Ann Wright, and her nephew, Steve Wright, both of Franklin; sisters-in-law Sarah "Sally" Carpenter and Lucinda "Cindy" Vasbinder; numerous nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Kim Amston, of Oil City.

          In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence "Larry" Wright; and her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Gilewski. 

          There will be no visitation or service held. 

          Private funeral arrangements are being completed by Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca. 

          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice through the Venango V.N.A. Foundation, 491 Allegheny Blvd., Franklin PA  16323.
