Roy W. Ziegler, 79, a longtime resident of Camp Coffman Road in Fertigs, died on Tuesday morning, February 18, 2025, while surrounded by loving family.
He was born in Fertigs on September 6, 1945 to the late Earl and Beaulah (VanCamp) Ziegler, Sr.
Roy enjoyed hunting, going fishing with his friends Jason and Tom, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Sara Reitz and her husband Bret of Franklin, and Andrea Miller of Oil City; five grandchildren: Elijah Reitz and his wife Megan, Isaac Reitz and his girlfriend Haylie, Abigail Haggerty and her fiancé Ryan, Tessa Holt, and Mollie Miller; and three great-grandchildren: Olivia Snyder, and Jameson and Salem Reitz.
Roy is also survived by his best friend, Lois McCool; two brothers, Earl Ziegler Jr. and David Ziegler; a sister, Wanda Burlson; and his nephews: Larry Ziegler Jr. and his wife Amy, and Tim and Terry Ziegler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Ziegler; a niece, Chris Setzer; and his beloved Chihuahua, PayPay.
