Robert “Rob” Pascorell of Meadville, PA, formerly of the Cranberry area, passed away peacefully in his sleep around Monday March 31, 2025.
Robert was born August 10, 1971 in Oil City, PA. He was the son of the late James (Jim) Pascorell, and Karen Murphy
Robert was actively engaged in the Meadville Journey Center/Crawford County Mental Health Awareness Program (CHAPS) where he was very welcoming to newcomers and was very active in participating in the program.
Although he still fought his addiction to alcohol, he made an active life for himself in Meadville and will be missed by the many people he knew at the Journey center, including his friend Heather.
Robbie is survived by his cousins, who he grew up with and were like siblings; Kate & Mary Hunsberger and Dan McVay all of the Seneca/Rockland area, Becky (Rick) Cozad of Gastonia, North Carolina, and many other cousins whom he was close to throughout his seasons of life.
Rob is also survived by his mother, Karen Murphy and her fiancée Randy Rager, a brother Chuck Murphy, and some nieces and nephews, a maternal uncle Jim Weiser and maternal aunt Debra Barscz.
Rob was preceded in death by his father Jim, his aunt who he looked up to as a mother figure; Daisy “Becky” McVay, his cousin Marcy McVay-Johnson who took care of him until her passing in May of 2022, maternal grandmother Mary Graff, paternal grandparents Vincent “Pete” and Marcella Pascorell, Uncle Dick Pascorell, and a cousin John McVay who he grew up with and who passed away just 2 weeks prior to his death.
A graveside service conducted by his cousin, Pastor David McVay, will be held at a future date where Robert will be laid to rest with his father and extended family at the Rockland Cemetery.
