Robert E. "Bob" Bosley, Sr.

                Robert E. "Bob" Bosley, Sr., 69, of Oil City, passed away on Saturday night, June 28, 2025 following complications of a sudden illness, while surrounded by his loved ones. 

                He was born February 9, 1956 in Oil City to the late Guy and Fern (Renninger) Bosley. 

                Mr. Bosley was drafted while in the tenth grade joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served two years. 

                Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, target practice, working on tractors and mowers, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. 

                In his earlier years, he worked as a farmhand for the Morrison Farm in Seneca. 

                Bob was married in Oil City on May 5, 1990 to Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" Updegraff.  She preceded him in death on October 30, 2021.

                Bob is survived by three children: Sadie Bemis and husband Sam of Oil City, Shamara Bosley of Oil City, and Robert E. Bosley Jr. and his fiancé Amber Waite of Seneca; a step-daughter, ValJean Hill and husband Scott of Bradleytown; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

                Also surviving is a sister, Diane Burgard and husband Carl; a brother, Gerry Bosley; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special cousin, Charlotte Moore. 

                In addition to his parents and his wife, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Adalynn Brant; and his siblings Sandra, Wanda, and Roger. 

                Visitation for friends and family will be held Monday (July 7) from 5-7 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca.  A funeral service will follow Monday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home, with military honors accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard, and a service officiated by Pastor Shawn Updegraff (Bob's nephew).
