Phyllis Perry Obituary

                 Phyllis N. Perry, 89, of Seneca, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, September 15, 2019 at Oakwood Heights in Oil City. 

                She was born May 5, 1930 in Oil City to the late Harry David and Wilda Olive (Slocum) Schoch. 

                She was a graduate of Cranberry High School. 

                Phyllis was a member of Seneca United Methodist Church, attending the Builder's Sunday school class, and was active with the Lydia Circle Women's Group. 

                She was a member of the Seneca Volunteer Fire Department's Auxiliary.  Phyllis was also involved with the local Girl Scout troop, and served as the director for Singing Hills Girls Scout Camp. 

                Phyllis enjoyed reading, watching television, farming in her earlier years, and traveling with the YWCA Gallivanters. 

                Mrs. Perry was employed for nearly forty years as a credit manager for Mong's Dairy in Seneca. 

                She was married to Wade V. Perry, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1990.

                She is survived by two children:  Joyce M. Perry of Seneca; and Thomas D. Perry and his wife Nancy of Oil City; two grandchildren: Alan Perry of Oil City and Sara Perry of Texas; and one great-grandson, Nicholas McKinney of Texas.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. 

                In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David V. Perry and his wife Jeanie; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. 

                Friends and family will be received Friday (Sept. 20) from 10 a.m. until noon in the Seneca United Methodist Church, 196 East State Road in Seneca, where a memorial service will follow Friday at noon.  Rev. William E. Hastings, church pastor, will officiate.  Private interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry. 

                In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seneca United Methodist Church, 196 East State Rd., Seneca PA  16346.
