He attended the one-room McCrea Schoolhouse which he later purchased and turned into a home and raised his family there.
His first job was working for Pinegrove Township, to help support his family. Other jobs included Marsh's, Knight's and Niederiter's Sawmills. He was a log truck driver for Millers, and worked at Asplundh Tree Service from 1957-1978. He also did private tree work on the side and did subcontracting work in the logging business with his sons from 1982-2012. He fully retired in 2014.
His earlier hobbies included sled riding with his grandchildren, hunting, cutting firewood, gardening, lawn work, playing horseshoes, and playing the guitar around the fire with friends and family. He also enjoyed tinkering with his tractor and motor home. He loved playing his favorite childhood game, "Carrom," where he was always the champ!
Mr. Glass attended the Fertigs Church of God of Prophecy.
Paul met the love of his life, Mary Oakes, at the Main Street Diner in 1953. They were married on November 17, 1956. They shared 60 wonderful years together until her passing in 2017.
