Paul Michael Anthony

            Paul Michael Anthony, 49, of Oil City, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Wednesday morning, May 8, 2024 at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo, following a courageous battle with cancer. 

            He was born in Oil City on September 9, 1974, a son of Michael W. and Sandra G. (Grove) Anthony. 

            Paul was a 1994 graduate of Oil City High School.  He also attended Clarion University. 

            He was a member of The Living Word Church.

            Paul was gifted in working with computers, electronics, and technology.  He enjoyed helping others with their computer problems and repairs.  He also enjoyed fishing, and bicycling on the area's bike trails. 

            He was employed as an automotive detailer for Allegheny Toyota for many years.  He also worked for Heilig-Meyers Furniture Company. 

            Paul is survived by his parents, Mike and Sandy Anthony of Oil City; his brother, Eric Anthony and his wife Jennifer and their children Alexis and Logan of Franklin; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Sue Fitch of Bradenton, Florida, Cheryl Clark of Oil City, Terry Anthony of Franklin, and Douglas Retzer of Clarion.  Paul is also survived by his very close friend, Tom Schreffler of Oil City. 

            He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Darrell and Ardean Grove and William and Dorothy Anthony; and his uncle, Chuck Jarzenski. 

            A visitation will be held Friday (May 10) from 11 a.m. - noon in The Living Word Church, 1398 State Rte. 157, Oil City.  A funeral service will immediately follow in the church Friday at noon.  Pastor Travis Earp will officiate.  Private interment will follow in Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry. 

            Memorial contributions may be made to Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 14663 Rte. 68, Sligo, PA  16255; or to the Hillman Cancer Center (at UPMC Northwest), 100 Fairfield Drive, Seneca, PA  16346.
