Norma Jean Ferringer

A memorial service to celebrate Norma Jean's life will be held Saturday, October 18th at 11 a.m. at the Rouseville United Methodist Church, 12 Church Street in Rouseville, PA  16344. 

With humble acceptance of God’s will, Norma Jean Ferringer of Seneca, PA born July 5, 1954, has moved to her heavenly home.  She is finally reunited with her loving parents and sister. Norma passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. 

“For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come” (Hebrews 13:14)

Daughter of the late Norman H. Witling, and the late Frances Jean Shorts Whitling of Oil City, and step daughter of the late Shirley L. Shirey Whitling of Oil City.

Surviving are her two sons, Michael and Mark Ferringer. Two stepsisters, Pamela Hartzell and Patricia Switzer (Chris). Two step brothers, Karl Shirey and Daniel Shirey (Kimberley).

Also, surviving are two special cousins, Connie Hannah and Melissa Whitling.

Norma Jean loved helping others, especially children. Norma Jean spent many years worshiping God, attending the Oil City Nazarene Church where she worked in the daycare. She loved her family and her grandchildren. She attended every family reunion she could. Norma Jean enjoyed the time spent with her cousin Connie and Connie‘s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending church with Melissa Whitling where she loved worshiping Our Lord and Savior as well as helping with the Rouseville United Methodist Church rummage sales.

Norma Jean was preceded in death by her late husband Norman Ferringer, her sister, Linda J. Whitling and a step brother-in-law, Alan Hartzell.
