Mary Jo Anderson, 56, of Oil City, died at her residence on Saturday, November 23, 2024, following an extended illness.
She was born in Oil City on March 19, 1968 to Martha A. (Mansfield) Anderson and the late Paul L. Anderson.
She attended Cranberry High School.
Mary Jo enjoyed going to sales at flea markets and thrift stores, gardening, and her pets. She lived a very interesting life, having many talents and interests. She worked as a meat cutter, a taxidermist, beautician, and a heavy equipment operator. She had a great laugh and told many good stories.
She is survived by her mother, Martha Anderson of Oil City; five siblings: Tina Dinger and her husband Calvin of Seneca, Rose Anderson of Marble, Maggie Anderson of Venus, Gump Anderson and his wife Joy of Venus, and Pete Anderson and his wife Missy of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul L. Anderson.
In accordance with her wishes, no visitation or service will be held. Funeral arrangements are being completed by Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca. Private interment will be made in Heckathorn Cemetery at a later date.
