Mary Marie Rodgers Latshaw, 56, of Oil City, died Sunday evening, October 22, 2023 at Oil City Healthcare following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born January 8, 1967 in Oil City to Janice L. Botts Rodgers and the late Timothy E. Rodgers.
Mary was a 1985 graduate of Oil City High School. She attended Vo-Tech and studied healthcare.
She was a member of the Oil City Moose Lodge. She attended the Cornerstone Bible Church in Oil City.
Mary was a kind and loving person and will be missed by all who knew her. Mary enjoyed shopping, playing Bingo, and watching her TV shows and wrestling. She also helped to take care of her mother, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She worked for many years at the Holiday Inn in Seneca and the Quality Inn in Franklin. She was employed in the housekeeping department at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab for the last three years.
She is survived by her mother, Janice; three children: Heather Miller (Aaron Miller) of Oil City, Stephanie Reed (and fiancé Zackery McClelland) of Oil City, and Cory Shreffler of Oil City; five grandchildren, Freedom Arrington, Kamden Allison, Nadia Arrington, Tryton Reed, and Wyatt Doster.
Also surviving are two brothers, Tim Rodgers Jr. and his wife Sue of Franklin, and Gary "Boomer" Rodgers (and Michelle Lemire) of Eagle Rock; nieces and nephews: Dayle Rodgers, Alex Rodgers, Lillian Rodgers, and Zac Dunkle; and her many close friends and coworkers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy E. Rodgers; and her grandparents.
Visitation will be held Saturday (October 28) from noon - 4 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a service to celebrate her life will follow Saturday at 4 p.m. with Pastor Brian Blaze and Pastor Josh Botts, officiating.
