Marjorie M. (Weller) Grumling, 93, of Oil City, died at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born April 22, 1925 in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Albert L. and Leila (Shaffer) Weller.
She graduated from Emlenton High School in 1942.
Mrs. Grumling was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a former member of the Franklin Club, and "The 100 Club" at Wanango Country Club. She also volunteered for many years at the Oil City Hospital.
Marjorie enjoyed dancing, needlework, playing golf, and baking. She also traveled with her husband and they enjoyed being snowbirds, spending the winter months in Palmetto, Florida for thirty years. She cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren.
She was a member of the Hasson Heights Community Church and also attended church services while staying in Florida.
In her earlier years, she worked in the quality control lab at Quaker State before becoming a dedicated homemaker for her family.
She was married in Amarillo, Texas on October 4, 1945 to Dick E. Grumling, and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Doug Grumling and his wife Linda of Meadville; a daughter, Jodi Wright and her husband Bill of Franklin; three grandchildren, Nicole Oliver of Ohio, Jason Grumling and his wife Tracie of Florida, and Jessica Incorvia and her husband Chad of Utah; and a great-grandson, Jaxon Oliver . Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Ray Weller.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday (Oct. 30) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Rusnak, AseraCare Hospice chaplain, officiating. Private interment will follow in the Emlenton Cemetery.
