Marita Kay Straffin

Marita Straffin, age 84, died early Wednesday morning, July 8, 2026. She leaves behind her husband Dean Straffin, sons Eric and Ian, grandchildren Bryce, Ethan, Chloe, Owen, and Phineus, and great grandchildren Willow and Maeve. Marita was the daughter of the late Wallace and Frances Wood. She is also survived by her two sisters Carole and Nikki.

Marita was a loving wife and mother who had only kind words and deeds for others. She loved to travel with her family and visit with her neighborhood friends. She served our region for decades as a medical technician in our regional hospitals, and enjoyed helping the local food pantry. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
