Marilyn J. Flick McFadden, 83, of Grove City, formerly of Seneca, died Friday afternoon, July 12, 2024 at Concordia in Allison Park, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Westmoreland County on June 22, 1941 to the late Orville Clarence and Gladys Hope (Maharg) Sethman.
Marilyn was an active church member. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grove City and a former member of the Cranberry United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
She married Howard E. Flick on January 20, 1958. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2009.
She enjoyed playing golf and watching the sport on television. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fans. Marilyn had a talent for and loved decorating her home.
She was employed as the manager at the Hileman-Daffin Store in Franklin for more than twenty years. Upon retirement in 1997, she moved to Lakeland, Florida until Howard’s passing.
She is survived by her second husband, Harry Gale McFadden. They married on July 14, 2010 in Grove City, PA.
Also surviving is her daughter, Kimberly Borczyk and her husband Ronald of Russellton; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Flick of Seneca; four grandchildren, Kyle Flick and his wife Chelsey, Paige Ortlip and her husband Will, and Rachel and Matthew Borczyk; four great-grandchildren, Carter, Nash, and Jensen Flick, and Rylee Ortlip.
Marilyn is also survived by four step-children, David McFadden, Tom McFadden, Pam McMurray, and Mark McFadden; numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Flick; a brother; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (July 16) from 5 - 7:30 p.m. and on Wednesday (July 17) from 10 - 11:30 a.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Frey, pastor of First Baptist Church of Grove City, officiating. Interment will be in the Rimersburg Cemetery, Clarion County.
