Marilyn Sue (Reisinger) Exley, 75, of Rockland, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, May 6, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Franklin on August 7, 1949, a daughter of the late Lewis Glenn and Willine B. (Boughner) Reisinger.
She was a 1969 graduate of Cranberry High School.
Marilyn loved cats, enjoyed puzzles, and watching her stories and soap operas on television. She was a kind, nurturing soul; always caring about everyone else, before herself. Marilyn enjoyed traveling to spend time and visit her family.
She was a dedicated homemaker, taking care of her family.
Marilyn was married on June 21, 1969 to Clair O. Exley Jr., and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2011.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Powell of Rocky Grove; three children: Jay Exley and his wife Aprill of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Jack Exley of Rockland, and Jennifer Lehman and her husband Michael of Orkney Spring, Virginia; and one grandson, Alex Lehman of Orkney Spring. Also surviving are close family relatives Teresa and Nathen Exley and their four children: Courtney, Katrina, Mailey, and Mason. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Reisinger.
Visitation will be held Thursday (May 8) from 1 - 3 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a funeral service will follow Thursday at 3 p.m. with Pastor David McVay, officiating. Private interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery.
