Our dearly departed Lucija A. Smith, 68, of Rockland, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, December 23, 2025.
She was born in Beaver County on October 7, 1957 to the late Leopold and Valerie Jezovnik.
Survived by husband Christopher T. Smith, daughter Danielle Shevchenko and her husband Bohdan of Boston, brother Benjamin Jezovnik of Harmony, and nephew Benjamin Jezovnik and his two daughters.
Her joy was feeding people. Always an adventurer, boating, hiking, biking, horseback riding and traveling.
Luci graduated Capital University and worked as a legal clerk in Butler, Marmon Group in Butler, retiring from Constellation Energy Kennerdell.
Luci donated her time to many causes, industry and local professional organizations, bike trail cleanups, funding for STEM Cranberry High school science club, restoration of Good Hope's grand organ, VARHA, Venango Choir and supporting Rockland VFD.
Luci's love of music was always present in her life as a supporter of music education and participation in choir.

Visitation will be held Monday (Dec. 29) from 4 - 6 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca. A service outside of Mass will be held in the funeral home Tuesday (Dec. 30) at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Foradori, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton, officiating. Private interment will follow in the Rockland Cemetery.
