Louise Aaron Obituary

Louise B. Aaron, 97, of Franklin, died Saturday morning, April 25, 2026 at The Caring Place in Franklin.

She was born in Kossuth, Clarion County on February 10, 1929 to the late Winfred P. and Merian (Mong) Brandon. 

She was a 1947 graduate of Cranberry High School. 

She worked at Joy Manufacturing as a secretary for ten years, where she met her husband.  She was married in 1957 to Henry C. Aaron, and he preceded her in death in September of 1989.

Louise was a faithful and devoted lifetime member of Cranberry United Methodist Church, where she served as financial secretary, helped with funeral dinners, attended Bible study, and the quilting group.

She served on the Board of Elections for many years and was recognized for her voting record. 

Louise volunteered for many years at the DeBence Antique Music World on Liberty Street in Franklin.  She also enjoyed bus trips and traveling.  She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed preparing meals for her family.  She loved baking, especially cookies and pies, and always had baked treats for her family to enjoy.  She cherished time spent with her family.

Louise is survived by three children, Karen Dittman and her husband Joe of Emlenton, Wayne Aaron and his wife Renee of Flower Mound, Texas, and Harold Aaron and his wife Robin of Seneca; six grandchildren: Brian Dittman and wife Kim of Knox, Jacob Dittman and wife Katelyne of Emlenton, Emily Buzard and husband Joe of Knox, Colton Aaron of Cambridge, England, Caitlyn Aaron of Sterling, Virginia, and Lauren Brady and husband Chris of Conway, South Carolina.  She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Adelaide and Theo Dittman, Beckett and Berkley Dittman, Ben and Sadie Buzard, and Charlotte Brady; and a niece, Debra Smith. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Nelson and Elizabeth Brandon; and Ronald Williams of Cranberry, with whom she shared many years of companionship.

Visitation will be held Friday (May 1) from 1 - 3 and 6 - 8 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca.  Visitation will be held on Saturday (May 2) from 10 - 11 a.m. in Cranberry United Methodist Church, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bruce Judy, church pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Brandon Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cranberry United Methodist Church, 7212 US 322, Cranberry PA  16319; or to DeBence Music World, 1261 Liberty St., Franklin PA  16323.
