Linda S. Ritchey

                Linda S. Ritchey, 75, of Seneca, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Hamot Hospital in Erie, following a brief illness. 

                She was born in Franklin on August 5, 1949. 

                She was a graduate of Franklin High School. 

                Linda was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Moose Club. 

                Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandson.  She loved the outdoors, watching her birdfeeders and listening to her wind chimes.  She also enjoyed traveling and going out to eat. 

                Mrs. Ritchey was employed for many years as an operating room technician at Oil City Hospital, then later with UPMC Northwest Hospital. 

                She was married in Franklin in 1962 to Clair Ritchey, Sr., and he survives.  Also surviving are two sons, Clair "Chip" Ritchey Jr. of Cranberry, and Brian Ritchey of Oil City; six grandchildren: Corey Ritchey, Brandon Ritchey and wife Melissa, Haley Ritchey, Tyler Ritchey, Katie Maxwell, and Keri Vanhorn; and a great-grandson, Carter Lee Ritchey.  Linda is also survived by a niece, Penny George; and a nephew, Gary Shaw. 

                She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Bowen; a daughter, Rita Ritchey; and a sister, Judy Shaw. 

                A visitation for friends and family will be held Friday (Nov. 1) from 4 - 7 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca.  No funeral service will be observed.
