Lawrence "Larry" Palm Obituary

Lawrence R. "Larry" Palm, 84, of Franklin, went to his Heavenly Home on Monday, May 5, 2026 following a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Franklin on May 21, 1941 to the late Lawrence Edward and Helen Mae (Delaney) Palm.

He was a graduate of Cranberry High School.

He was a member of Victory Heights United Brethren Church where he served as an usher as well as on the administrative board.

Larry was a forty-seven year member as well as a founding charter member of the Cranberry Area Lions Club.  He remained very active with the club through the years, helping with events such as the food trailer, Easter Egg Hunt, Car Shows, and Sporting Raffles.  He was also supportive of the Boy Scouts and assisted with the placement of flags on veteran's graves in the local cemeteries.  Larry had a heart and spirit of helping others in need, and was active with Charitable Deeds in Knox.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping, and was a jack of all trades.  Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and going camping at Lake Wilhelm.

He worked for thirty-two years at Sehman Tire in Franklin, before retiring as a manager.

He was married in Knox on August 6, 1960 to the former Wanda E. (Best), and she survives, along with their three children: Steven Palm and wife Patricia of Knox, Laurie Chittester and husband Mark of Seneca, and Stephanie Peterson and husband Tom of Fertigs. He is survived by his grandchildren, Brian Palm and wife Angie, Nicole Pearson and husband Chad, Rebecca Chittester and boyfriend Paul Rogers, and Dodge, Wyatt, and Gracie Peterson; and three great-grandsons, Nolan Palm, and Gavin and Wesley Pearson.  Larry is also survived by a niece, Laura Everett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alisha Chittester; three sisters, Kay, Louise, and Robin; and two brothers, Harold and Kenny.

Visitation will be held Monday (May 11) from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Victory Heights United Brethren Church, 5978 US 322, Franklin, where a funeral service will follow Monday at 3 p.m.  Pastor Mike Heim will officiate, and the Cranberry Area Lions Club will conduct an honorary service for their departed member.  Private interment will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Twin Church Road in Knox.
