Kathleen G. Chadman

Kathleen Gayle (McCormick) Chadman, 77, of Emlenton, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord Friday morning, June 12, 2026 at The Collins Hospice House in Rocky Grove. 

Kathleen was born June 27, 1948 in Franklin and was the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Virginia (Stellman) McCormick. 

She graduated from Allegheny Clarion Valley School in 1966.  On July 9, 1966 in Nickleville, she married Donald E. Chadman, who survives. 

She was a member of the Nickleville Presbyterian Church where she served as Deacon.  She was also instrumental in starting the Youth Group there, and participated in the Blanket Ministry. 

Throughout the years, she enjoyed baking, quilting, and crocheting.  On the back side of each quilt, she would sign her name backwards.  She also had a green thumb and loved to plant flowers.  She was very proud of her five foot tomato plant that she grew.  Kathleen had a three-wheeled bike that she enjoyed riding in the driveway and over to visit her neighbors. 

Kathleen was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. 

She worked at Knox Glass, National Fuel, and numerous other jobs through a temporary employment agency.  She retired from Farmer's National Bank in Emlenton. 

In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by her daughter, Terra T. (Chadman) Gertz and her husband Richard of Mantua, Ohio; her brother, James McCormick of Norwalk, Ohio; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service held.  Private interment will be made in the Rockland Cemetery.  Private funeral arrangements are being completed by Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca.
