Jeffrey Allen Clark, 66, of Oil City, died at his home on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from complications of a lengthy illness. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Jeffrey was born on July 17, 1957, in Meadville, PA. He was a beloved son of the late Richard D. Clark and Barbara A. Clark.
He was a 1975 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School.
He lived in Cochranton, Meadville, Oil City and the Denver, Colorado area.
He had over 21 years of truck driving experience, including box, tandem axle, tanker, stake bed and van in city, country and mountain terrain. He had over 17 years of experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks in a variety of warehouse settings, including structuring and reorganizing warehouses to optimal working conditions. He supervised warehouse and delivery work crews and also worked in sales, customer service and security. He was also a physical fitness trainer.
He was hard-working, organized and detail-oriented. He had a strong directional sense; excellent math, technical and problem-solving abilities; and admirable verbal and written communication skills. He was honest, reliable and maintained a professional attitude. Best of all, he was quick-witted, silly, loved to joke and make people laugh. He enjoyed music of all kinds and dancing to country music.
He loved all animals, especially cats and dogs. He traveled the highways and byways of 49 states, always looking for country roads to explore. He was an excellent photographer and framed many of his photos, including old barns, log cabins, mountain terrain, and Devils Tower in Wyoming; he hoped to someday travel to Alaska. He had a keen eye for interior decorating and displayed family heirlooms with pride.
He was an extra in two movies filmed in the Denver area, ‘Tall Tale’ in 1995 and ‘Larger than Life’ in 1996. He loved the grandeur of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and spent time in the mountains whenever he could.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Kathi Ann Clark of Franklin, Sue Ann Clark of Honolulu, HI, his brother Kenneth James Clark and his wife, Angela, and his niece, Kaylee Rose Clark, all of Thornton, CO, his longtime friends Mark Rosenau of Casper, WY, and John Burkhardt of Golden, CO, as well as a number of cousins, and his cats.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Jane Culbertson of Oil City.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
