James K. "Jim" Sidora, 70, of Seneca, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Penny Lynne Sidora, whom he married on September 19, 1981.
He was born November 22, 1954 in Kittanning, PA and was the son of the late Harry and Gertrude Sidora.
Jim was a graduate of Clarion State University. He was a former member of the Rod and Gun Club of Knox; and an avid and skilled hunter of deer (both rifle and bow hunting), and also hunted bear. He especially enjoyed spending time with their dogs, Joy, Hope, and Sidney.
Jim will be greatly missed by his brother, Thomas (Judith) Sidora; sisters, Saundra Odrey, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Pompe; nieces Shelley Sidora (Richard Hockensmith), and Christie Pham Sidora; nephews Michael (Ariel) Kissick, Andrew Sidora; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Callie and Emma Sidora, Madeline and Harrison Pham, Richmond Hockensmith and Benjamin Kaufman Kissick.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Harry Sidora; brother-in-law, Nicholas G. Odrey; and Joe's companion, Judith Small.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Esther, Bob, and Alleyne Sweeney for their kindness and care of Jim during his illness; along with Erin and Jill of AseraCare Hospice for their compassionate care.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday (October 8) from noon - 2 p.m. at Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a funeral service will follow Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca.
