James Lewis Highlander, 63, of Oil City, Pennsylvania, born September 1,1960 in Ashtabula, Ohio to Carl and Dorothy Highlander, sadly lost his fight with cancer on Friday evening, March 8, 2024.
He proudly Served in the United States Air Force from 1978 to 1989.
His hobbies were coaching little league baseball, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Connie Highlander; his parents Carl and Dorothy; sisters Toots (Della Burns), Sharon Chilton, and Sis (Barbra Chancy).
Jim is survived by his siblings Rick (Brenda) Highlander, Benson Highlander, Brian Highlander, Tammy Highlander, Betty Cooper, Shirley (David) Vanslyke, Brenda (Kelly) Wilson.
His surviving children include Dale Highlander (Susan Brown), Kacie (Chantel) Bollig, Monica (Aaron) Weeter and Angela (Jason) Shaffer; and his grandchildren: Austin, Zach, Siera, Rylinne, Abegayle, Charles, Madeline, Alexander, Braydon, Ryker, Macy, Allie, Kylie, Cheyenne, David Jr.; and great-grandchildren: Mateo, Everleigh, Allister, and Nathaniel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his Life to be celebrated later this year will be announced when details are available. Funeral arrangements are being completed by Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca, and online condolences to the family may be expressed by visiting www.hilebest.com
