On June 5, 1954 he married Billie Jean Marshall, who preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Oil City Church of the Nazarene, serving as an usher and an instrumental part of their bus ministry.

Glenn spent most of his working career as a truck driver, delivering coal for a short period of time but then delivering for, and eventually retiring from,  Sears Roebuck.

In 1981 he moved to Mesa, Arizona where he worked as the head of maintenance at a nursing home, eventually returning to live again in Pennsylvania.  He spent his last few years living with his children in South Carolina and Arizona.

He is survived by three children:  Penny Smith and her husband Terry of Show Low, Arizona, Gregg Perry and his wife Norma of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Candy Heckathorn and her husband Tedd of Conway, South Carolina; six grandchildren:  Natasha Botelho (Cory), Brandon Van Wormer, Taylor Wilson (Ben), Griffin Perry, Nick Luton (Cristen), Charlie Luton (Christy); five great-granchildren and many nieces and nephews.
