Gladys Irene (Weaver) Haag, 80, of Kennerdell, passed away at home Monday evening, August 13, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Haag was born in Mercer County on April 30, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Floyd H. and Ruth A. Vogus Weaver. Gladys was married on June 25, 1955 to Nathan C. Haag. Mr. Haag preceded her in death on March 14, 2018.
She was a member of Living Word Church in Oil City. Gladys held many diverse jobs including driving taxi, serving as a caregiver, running her own business, and working with ceramics. Her leisure time was frequently spent camping with her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading.
Gladys is survived by six children, Theodore C. Haag and his wife, Mary, of Cochranton, Victoria L. Surrena and her husband, Robert, of Grove City, Allen L. Haag, of Cranberry, Samuel R. Haag and his wife Roberta, of Sandy Lake, Angela McClellan and her husband, Roy, of Jackson Center, and Nancy M. Haag, of Cranberry. She is additionally survived by two brothers, Gary L. Weaver and his wife, Bethel, of Mercer, Dale R. Weaver and his wife, Rosemary, of Slippery Rock, and a sister Carol Liska and her husband, John, of Greenville. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and four great grand children.
Gladys was preceded in death by three brothers, Samuel, Robert, and Ralph Weaver; three sisters, Burletta Thompson, Mildred Adams, Norma Snyder; two infant sisters, Clara Jean and Nancy Mae; a daughter in law, Bette Jo Haag, of Cranberry; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 16) at the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc. 2781 Rte. 257 Seneca, Cranberry Township. A memorial service will be held from the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday (Aug. 17th) with Pastor Travis Earp, pastor of Living Word Church, officiating.
