Edward M. "Omar" Bush, 67, of Oil City, died at his residence on Monday, September 16, 2024, following a period of declining health.
He was born in Oil City on October 11, 1956 to the late Edward Leroy and Carol P. (Spence) Bush.
He was a graduate of Oil City High School.
Omar enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandsons.
He was employed in the Public Works Department with the City of Oil City, retiring following more than thirty years of service. Many who worked with him through the years will remember him for his joking and "tell it like it is" sense of humor and personality.
He is survived by two children: Albert Bush of Oil City, and Jennifer Bechtel and her husband Tim of Rockland; and two grandsons, Kyle and Brady Bechtel. Also surviving is his sister, Brenda Youkers and her husband Jeff of Oil City; a niece, Amber; and a nephew, Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request, no visitation or service will be held.
