Edward S. “Buddy” Hilliard, 64, of Emlenton, died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident on Friday May 1, 2026 in Clarion County.
He was born on July 28, 1961 in Butler. He was the son of Edward V. Hilliard and Jeanne M. (Harmon) Hilliard.
He was a 1979 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School. He later graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Business Management and earned a degree in Nursing from Philadelphia Community College. Ed also had great creative art talents.
Ed enjoyed the outdoors and was always up for a fun adventure. He was a loving and dedicated Dad who enjoyed creating lasting memories with his sons. Memorable trips included New York City, Washington D.C., and Philadelphia.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanne M. Udovic of Seneca; two sons, Noah Hilliard and Caleb Hilliard, both of Stuart, Florida; a brother, Greg Hilliard and his wife Lisa of Indianapolis ; cousins Jackson and Haley; and his former girlfriend, Angela Wolfe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Vernon Hilliard; and his step-fathers, Richard Stewart and Robert Udovic.
Visitation will be held Friday (May 8) from 1 - 3 p.m. at Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a funeral service will follow Friday at 3 p.m. with Pastor Andy Blystone of Seneca Son Rise Church, officiating. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry.
