Dixie L. Patterson, 73, of Cranberry, went Home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 5, 2026 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie, following a period of declining health.
She was born in Franklin on October 2, 1952 to the late Ronald Lester and Clair Patricia (Master) Patterson. She was raised by her mom and step-father, the late Edward R. Whaley.
Dixie was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Seneca. She loved her church and her Sunday School class, and loved to sing at church. She enjoyed building Legos, coloring, puzzles, Christmas shopping, and studying her Bible. Dixie was a sweet, innocent, and pure soul. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sister, Cindy D. Clark and her husband Paul of Cranberry; her brother, Timothy A. Patterson and his wife Joyce of Cranberry; her brother, Mark R. Whaley and his wife Joni of Colorado; and two step-brothers, Mike Whaley and Otto Whaley and his wife Carol. She is also survived by numerous special nieces and nephews; her church family; and a special friend, Heather.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (June 9) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a funeral service will follow Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jacob Coon and Pastor Glenn Miller, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
