Deborah Wagner Obituary

                Deborah Anne Wagner, 73, of Oil City, died at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie. 

                She was born in Oil City on December 9, 1950 to the late Joseph C. Wagner Jr. and Marietta A. (Stiller) Wagner. 

                She was a 1968 graduate of Cranberry High School and later graduated from the Hamot School of Nursing in Erie in 1971.

                 She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Oil City. 

                Deb enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and spending time with family. You could often find her playing Canasta, up-and-down, Pinochle, Pokeno and Bridge, or helping her beloved nephews Dominic and Drake with their homework.  She enjoyed family picnics where she was well known for her baked beans, potato salad, and German chocolate cake. 

                She was employed as a registered nurse at Hamot Hospital in Erie, retiring after more than thirty years of service. 

                She is survived by her sister Nancy Mullen of West Chester, PA; her brother Timothy Wagner and his wife Janet of Oil City; and a sister-in-law, Katie Wagner of Kentucky.  Also surviving are her nephews Philip Wagner and his fiancé Melissa May of Seneca and Joseph Wagner and his wife Candace of Slippery Rock; her nieces Shannon Wagner and her fiancé Daniel Buzard of Oil City, Jennifer Cherry and husband Greg of Oil City, and Stephanie Mullen of Maryland.  Her great-nieces and great nephews include Dominic and Drake Schubert, and Philip, Zachary, Destiny, Logan, and Kara Wagner. 

                Deb was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, David M. Wagner.

                Visitation will be held Thursday (May 23) from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday (May 24) at 1 p.m. with Rev. Chris Clark, officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
