Deborah Sue Burgdorfer, 71, of Oil City, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Monday, March 2, 2026, following a brief illness.
She was born in Oil City on May 2, 1954, a daughter of the late Richard and Ella (Bell) Stone.
She was a 1972 graduate of Cranberry High School.
Deborah was of the Catholic faith.
Deb loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed the companionship of her dog, Toby; and watching Western movies and television shows.
She was employed as a head cashier for 35 years with Riverside Market in Oil City.
Deb is survived by her daughter, Melissa Sue Burgdorfer of Oil City; two sisters, Patricia McClelland and her husband Robert, and Cathy Voit and her husband David, all of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ella Stone; her son, Mark Burgdorfer Jr.; and a nephew, William Schell.
Visitation will be held Thursday (March 5) from 4 - 8 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, and on Friday (March 6) from noon - 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, officiated by Father James Campbell, priest at St. Patrick Church in Franklin. Private interment will be made in Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry at a later date.
