Darley Belle Lawrence

Darley Belle (Tingley) Lawrence, 73, of Oil City, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Saturday April 11, 2026, at her home, following a short time on hospice.

Darley was born August 21st, 1952, in Venango County.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Hazlett) Tingley.

She attended Oil City and Franklin schools.

She was raised in Calvary Temple Church and later attended The Living Word Church and Oil City Vineyard.

She married Kenneth Alton Lawrence on January 4th, 1969.

She enjoyed her work as a home caregiver for many years.

Darley was known for her unwavering faith in God and love for her family.  She impacted many lives sharing her faith and encouragement with others. She leaves behind many journals of scriptures and prayers.   She also loved to spend time with family playing games, doing puzzles, and gathering for meals.   When she was able, Darley spent her time cooking, traveling, sewing, and crocheting. 

She had a special interest in the Friends of Big Bear Valley eagles, Jackie and Shadow.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughters Sherry Shouey, Melanie Sparks, grandchildren Ashleigh (Jeff) Dashio, Bethany (Nathan) Hannah, Luke Smith, Jacob (Sabrina) Sparks, Caleb Sparks, and a great-granddaughter Avalynn Tomlinson.  She was anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandson in August.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Bimber, many aunts, uncles, other extended family, and her beloved cat Whiskers.

Visitation for friends and family will be held Wednesday (April 15) from 3 – 5 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a funeral service will follow Wednesday at 5 p.m. with Pastor Trevor Hanna, family friend, officiating.  Private interment will be made in Graham Cemetery in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.
