Dale Ward Obituary

                  Dale Eugene Ward, 61, of Franklin, formerly of Sandy Lake, died at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab early on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 following a lengthy illness, while surrounded by loving family.

                He was born in Grove City, Mercer County on October 17, 1961 to the late Cecil Clair and Eleanor Mae (Whitehouse) Ward. 

                As a child, Dale attended Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church.  He was of the New Apostolic faith. 

                Dale enjoyed rodeos, fishing, going out to restaurants, Demolition Derbies, and spending time with his family. 

                He worked as a dishwasher at various restaurants and also worked at Jamestown Lumber Yard. 

                Dale was married in Greenville on August 2, 2008 to Donna L. Alabran, and she survives. 

                Also surviving are his siblings:  Linda L. Haylett (Jolene) of Florida, Patricia Hedglin (Samuel) of Sandy Lake, James Richard Ward (Pam) of Strattanville, and Betty Lou Zarlingo (Bill) of New Castle.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

                In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Ward Jr.

                Per his wishes, there will be no visitation.  His family is planning a memorial service to be held at a later date. 

                Funeral arrangements are being completed by Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca.  To assist the family with funeral expenses, memorial donations may be made to Hile-Best Funeral Home, P.O. Box 245, Seneca, PA  16346.
