Curt Morrow Obituary

                Curt L. Morrow, 69,of Franklin, died at UPMC Northwest in Seneca on Wednesday afternoon, September 11, 2024, following a brief illness. 

                He was born in Franklin on August 6, 1955 to the late Delmar P. and Charlotte M. (Schall) Morrow. 

                Curt was a 1973 graduate of Cranberry High School. 

                He was a lifelong member of the Franklin Eagles Club.  In his younger years he coached Cranberry Area Little League; more recently, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball. 

                Curt loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing the river, and trips to Benezette to view the elk.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and making walking sticks for family members. 

                In his early career, he worked for Joy Manufacturing.  He later became a member of the  Laborer's Union Local #323 and worked mainly in construction. 

                He was married in Franklin on March 27, 1976 to the former Cindy L. Blakley, and she survives. 

                Also surviving are two sons, Thomas Morrow and his wife Katie of Rockland, and Michael Morrow and his wife Shannon of Victory  Heights; and his four grandchildren: Ellie and Colt Morrow, and Blakely and Grady Morrow. 

                Curt is also survived by two sisters, Rhonda Sheffer and husband Rod, and Cheryl Shull and husband Brian; two brothers, Rodney Thomas Morrow and Delmar Kent Morrow; a brother-in-law, John Blakley and wife Sandy; an aunt, Wilda Cotton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

                He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Charlotte Morrow. 

                Friends and family are invited to a visitation to celebrate his life on Tuesday (Sept. 17) from 4 - 6 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca. 

                Private interment will be in Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry.  At his request, some of his remains will be scattered at Benezette as well as the Allegheny River. 

                In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kirtland Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 108, Franklin PA  16323; or to the Cranberry Area Little League, P.O. Box 487, Seneca PA  16346.
