Carol Lynne Jaynes passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, surrounded by loved ones who were likely still trying to get the last word in. She was born on January 27, 1959, to Marilyn Wingard and Edmond Jaynes, who preceded her in death and are presumably now catching her up on everything she missed.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Jessica Lynne Arriaga; her grandson, Martin Xzavier Gow; her brother, Warren Clark of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and her uncle, Richard Titus of Arizona—each of whom can attest that Carol always had something to say, usually at just the right (or hilariously wrong) moment.
She also leaves behind her lifelong friend, Choona Boiano; her friends, Brenda Hubler and Amelia Holloway; her bonus daughter, Erica Cornell and family; and her loyal companion, her dog, Chicken Jaynes Holloway, who is still waiting for snacks and refusing to believe this wasn’t just a very long errand.
Carol will be remembered for her sharp sense of humor, her unfiltered honesty, and her talent for saying exactly what everyone else was thinking (whether they liked it or not). She had a way of turning ordinary moments into memorable ones—sometimes intentionally, sometimes not—but always in a way that left people laughing.
In true Carol fashion, she leaves behind love, laughter, and just enough unanswered questions to keep things interesting.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Church of God in Oil City, 11 East 8th Street, Oil City, PA 16301 on Sunday, June 7th, 2026 at 4 p.m.
