Brenda Sue Youkers, 66, of Oil City, died at Hamot Hospital in Erie on Sunday night, October 27, 2024, following a lengthy illness with multiple sclerosis.
She was born in Oil City on May 26, 1958 to the late Edward L. and Carol P. (Spence) Bush.
She was a 1976 graduate of Oil City High School.
Brenda was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Oil City.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading Danielle Steel novels, was an avid Elvis Presley fan, loved her animals, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In her earlier years, she was employed at the Bon-Ton store in the Cranberry Mall.
Brenda was married in Oil City on November 10, 1979 to Jeffrey S. Youkers, and he survives, along with their two children, Amber Crissman and her husband Mark of New Bethlehem and Scott Youkers and his wife Crystal of Oil City; two granddaughters, Lillian and Courtney Youkers of Oil City; her beloved dog, "Dom,"; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, including Albert Bush and Jennifer Bechtel and her husband Tim.
Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Melissa Lockhart and husband Steve of Mt. Holly; three brothers-in-law: Thomas Youkers and wife Kim of Olean, NY, Steve Johnston and wife Tracie of Franklin, and Walt Johnston and wife Elke of Germany; and her mother-in-law, Sandy Youkers of Oil City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Jason Youkers; a brother, Edward M. Bush; her father-in-law, Larry Youkers; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Beryl and Suzanne Johnston.
Visitation will be held Friday (Nov. 1) from 4 - 6 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a funeral service will be held Saturday (Nov. 2) at 10 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Carr, officiating. Interment will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery in Oil City.
