Bonnie Lynn Neely, 61, of Oil City, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at UPMC Northwest after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Bonnie was born June 17, 1963, in Clarion to the late Richard and Pearl McClure. She graduated Clarion Limestone High School in 1981.
Bonnie loved to read, do crafts, flower garden and even archery in her younger years. Through the years she worked at The Valley Lunch and Leonardo’s Restaurant, who she considered family. Also, TRG, Casey’s Restaurant, and retired as food service manager of Country Fair.
Anyone who knew Bonnie, knew her family was the most important thing to her, and she leaves behind her daughter, Amanda Warren and husband Curtis of Dayton, Ohio; and her daughter-in- law, Nova Sopher of Cherrytree. She also leaves behind her most precious blessings, her grandsons Seth and Blake Warren of Dayton, and her granddaughter Cora Mallory-Nece and wife Kacie of Baden. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Renninger (Bob) of Harrisburg, Karen Kossman (Terry) of Shippenville, and Ella (Charles) Mahle of Strattanville who raised her after losing her parents at such an early age.
Bonnie will be missed by all her nieces and nephews. She is survived by special friend Gary Edwards, best friend Dee VanSlyke, and her former husband Ricky Neely of Titusville.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her only son, Joseph Michael Neely, who we are sure welcomed her with open arms, as well as her late brothers Larry, Richard, and Bud McClure.
A memorial will be held at a later date. Private funeral arrangements are being completed by Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca. To express online condolences to Bonnie's family, visit www.hilebest.com
