Ashley Marie Blystone Obituary

             Ashley Marie Blystone, 34, of Oil City, died Thursday, November 14, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, following complications of a sudden asthma attack. 

            She was born in Oil City on December 25, 1989, a daughter of Gary L. and Neoma M. (Blystone) Cain.

            She attended Oil City High School, and later earned her G.E.D. through the Literacy Council at Vo-Tech. 

            In her younger years, she attended the First Church of God in Oil City.

            Ashley enjoyed doing odd jobs around the house, such as painting, drywall, and plumbing. She enjoyed drawing, listening to music, watching the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with her family.  She loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Zoe. 

            Through the years, Ashley worked at Rocco’s Pizza in Oil City, Giant Eagle, and Buyer’s Fair. 

            She is survived by her parents, Gary and Neoma Cain of Oil City; her biological father, David Fike and his wife Tracey of Oil City; two sons, Landyn Blystone and Lukas McElory, both of Oil City; and two sisters, Heather Cain and her daughter Bella of Clarion; and Katherane Shoop and her husband Joshua of Millersburg. 

            Also surviving is her maternal grandmother, Helen Blystone of Oil City; her paternal grandmother, Darlene Fike of Oil City; and her paternal grandfather, Dwight Fike and his wife Vickie of Idaho.  Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. 

            She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, Harry Barrett and wife Mae; her grandparents, Delmar and Donna Wiseman; and two uncles, Stanley Cain and John Barrett. 

            Visitation for friends and family will be held Wednesday (Nov. 20) from 4 - 7 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Ward Beers, officiating. 

            Private interment will be made in Craig Hill Cemetery in Pinegrove Township at a later date.

            Ashely became an organ donor through CORE (Center for Organ Recovery & Education), and was able to help others through her gift of donation.
