Steven S. Glass

             Steven S. Glass, 48, of Hale Road in Venus, Pinegrove Township, died unexpectedly of natural causes early Saturday morning, November 11, 2017 at his home.

            He was born in Oil City on February 7, 1969 to Roger and Barbara (O'Neil) Glass.

            Steve was a 1987 graduate of Cranberry High School, and studied auto body and mechanics at the Vo-Tech. 

            He attended worship at the Lighthouse of Praise in Fertigs. 

            Steve enjoyed the outdoors, guns, and hunting.  He loved classic cars, hotrods, and truck pulls.  He was a motorcycle and four-wheeler enthusiast, and also enjoyed hot air ballooning. 

            Prior to his health disability, he was employed by Hot Air Expeditions in Phoenix, Arizona. 

            He is survived by his parents, Roger and Barbara Glass of Venus; his grandmother, Violet O'Neil of Fertigs; three children: Centina Gaston of Venus, Citaya Glass of Oil City, and Steven Glass of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren: Braydin Glass, and La'Stayzia, TayShon, and Monty Gaston; his brother, Daniel Glass and his wife Kristen of Shippenville; two nephews, Jonah and Jacob Glass; and a niece, Eden Glass.

            Steve is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and close friends, Mike O'Neil and Gary Glass. 

            He was preceded in death by a sister, Cristi (Glass) Slike; his maternal grandfather, Ronald O'Neil; and his paternal grandparents, Lester and Julia Glass.

            Friends and family will be received Tuesday  (Nov. 14) from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday (Nov. 15) at 11 a.m. in the Lighthouse of Praise Church, 112 Winwood Lane, Venus (Fertigs).  Viewing will be held in the church on Wednesday prior to the service, from 10-10:45 a.m.  The Rev. Jimmie Turner, church pastor, will officiate.  Interment will follow in Venus Cemetery. 

            Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Pittsburgh's Starzl Transplant Institute, Biomedical Science Tower, 200 Lothrop St., Pittsburgh, PA  15261.
