Rosetta L. Miller, 89, of Oil City, died peacefully on Wednesday evening, May 15, 2019 at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab.
She was born in Oil City on July 14, 1929; a daughter of the late Rose (Moon) Huff.
Rose was a 1947 graduate of Oil City High School.
She was a member of the Oil City YWCA Gallivanters Club, the LoCal Gals, and the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
Mrs. Miller was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist
Rose enjoyed taking bus trips, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was employed as the office manager for Hanna Transfer Co. in Oil City for fifty-five years.
Rose was married in Oil City on April 15, 1961 to Lyle E. Miller, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen M. Fischer and Shelli Hoover, both of Oil City; and four grandchildren: Christopher Pratt and his wife Amy and their son Guerron of Nashville; Heather Nageotte and her husband Greg and their sons, Vincent and Adam of Oil City; Andrea Hoover of Maryland; and Cameron Hoover of Austin, Texas.
In addition to her mother and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jonathan Fischer.
Friends and family will be received Monday (May 20th) from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will follow Monday (May 20th) at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Byron Myers, officiating. Private interment will follow in Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry.
