Philip R. Nuhfer, 69, of Seneca, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 31, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 5, 1947 in Venus, he was one of five children of the late Homer and Freda (Motter) Nuhfer.

He attended Cranberry High School, after which he joined the United States Air Force. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served in Vietnam before being honorably discharged.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Phil was employed at Franklin Industries for many years.

On January 24, 1969 he married the former Betty Jane Allaman, and she survives, along with their two children, Martha "Marti" Tinker of Middletown, and Charles Nuhfer of Monroeville; three grandchildren, Jordan, Sarah, and Morgan Tinker, all of Middletown, and several nieces and nephews.

Private committal services will be held for the immediate family in Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry.
