Patrick Wayne Woodworth, 60, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Oil City, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Monday evening, February 4, 2019.
He was born in Oil City on July 9, 1958 to the late Clifford and Mary (Moffett) Woodworth.
Patrick attended Oil City High School. He also enrolled in some college courses in Tennessee, studying computer science.
He enjoyed building and working on computers, collecting movies, and had a love for automobiles.
Mr. Woodworth began working for the Tennessee State Prison System in January of 1989. He served as a corrections officer for most of his career, and was recently working in the landscaping department at the prison.
Patrick is survive by a son, Douglas C. Strawbridge and his significant other, Talesha Vroman and children, Zander, Rylee, and Samual, of Titusville; three brothers, Clifford O. Woodworth, Jr., David Woodworth and his wife Kathy, and James Woodworth and his wife Sallie; a sister, Melanie Weaver and her husband John; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his housemate in Tennessee for the last 20 years, Angela Keele; and a special friend, Tim Holler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Woodworth; three sisters, Linda Schwabenbauer, Christine Penglease, and infant Martha Woodworth; and a good friend, Jack Brewer.
Friends and family will be received Friday (Feb. 22) from 2 - 3 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township, where a memorial service will follow Friday (Feb. 22) at 3 p.m. with Rev. Ronee Christy, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Oil City, officiating.
