Kenneth "K.W." Weaver

September 13, 1935 ~ July 12, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old


              Kenneth Wayne "K.W." Weaver, 81, of Victory Heights, went Home to be with the Lord Wednesday night at 8:10 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his family. 

            He was born September 13, 1935 to the late Richard and Annabelle (Manson) Weaver of Van.      

            Mr. Weaver was a lifelong resident of the area, and a fourth generation oilman.  He enjoyed working oil leases, watching old western movies, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, telling stories of times past, and assigning nicknames to those he loved. 

            He was married in Oil City on March 13, 1954 to the former Ardelle Whitling, and she survives. 

            Also surviving are his children: Tim and Michelle Weaver of Cleveland, Ohio, Kim and Ray Hepler of Mapleshade, Cindy and Greg Peterson of Mapleshade, Jeff and Katrina Weaver of Seneca, Kenny and Tammy Weaver of Franklin, and Keith and Shelly Weaver of Victory Heights; his grandchildren: Clayton Weaver and his fiancé Amanda Hussey of Cleveland, Kevin Weaver of Cleveland, Shannon (John) Oliver of Victory Heights, Ryan (Amanda) Hepler of Seneca, Dennis (Brandi) Grove of Rockland, Jessica (Chris) McKiernan of Seneca, Jeffrey Weaver and his fiancé Beth Ralph of Franklin, Jacob Weaver, and Kaylee Weaver, both of Van; and his great-grandchildren:  Landon and Ian Oliver, Grayson and Gavin Hepler, Aden and Kowen Grove, and Norah McKiernan. 

            Also surviving are his siblings: Glenn (Wilma) Weaver, Ruth (Rick) Montana, Martha (Brent) Cobb, Rebecca (Jerry) Courson, and Mary (Bob) Hooker; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

            Ken was preceded in death by his parents. 

            There will be no public visitation.  A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ken Weaver will be held Saturday, July 22nd at 1 p.m. in the Victory Heights United Brethren Church, 5978 US Rte. 322, Franklin.  Rev. Steve Henry, church pastor, will officiate.  Private interment will be in Starr Cemetery in Ninevah. 

            The Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca, Cranberry Township is completing funeral arrangements. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Victory Heights United Brethren Church, 5978 US 322, Franklin, PA  16323.
