Joyce Neidich Obituary

            Joyce E. Neidich, 78, of Shippenville, formerly of Oil City, died Wednesday morning, March 6, 2019 at Shippenville Health Care and Rehab. 

            She was born August 16, 1940 in Oil City to the late Klyde and Betty (Crouch) Warner. 

            She was a 1958 graduate of Oil City High School. 

            She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Oil City, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. 

            Joyce enjoyed bowling, plastic canvas needlepoint crafts, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. 

            Mrs. Neidich worked for many years in the cafeteria at Oil City High School; and also worked for the family business, Clark's Donuts, in Cranberry. 

            She was married on September 1, 1962 to Donald E. Neidich, and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2016.

            Joyce is survived by two sons, Thomas Neidich of Franklin; and Terry Neidich and his wife Kelly of Franklin; five grandchildren: Christopher Neidich and his fiancé Ashely and their children, Mason and Hadley, Tyler Neidich, Renee Bailes and her husband Zach, Meagan Neidich, and Kirstin Pearcy and her husband Trevor; a brother-in-law, Glenn Frey; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

            In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Frey. 

            A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, in the First United Methodist Church, 1102 Liberty Street in Franklin, with Rev. Wade Berkey, church pastor, officiating. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 8180 Greensboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102; or to the First United Methodist Church, 1102 Liberty St., Franklin, PA  16323.
