- About Us
Joshua A. Goodman died peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab, having lived his life at full speed and by his own rules. His wife, Tasha Goodman, held his hand until the end; and his mother, Deborah Goodman and his sister, Amber Zacherl were with him also. He succumbed to injuries suffered in a car accident on June 9.
Josh lived fully in his 32 years. He drove his trucks and cars fast, and his motorcycle faster. Sometimes, his bluff and bluster entered the room before him. For those who knew him, he lived life well, worked harder than anyone you’ve ever met and loved absolutely.
If you needed help with anything from fixing a vehicle, mowing a lawn, to building a deck, he’d be the first to show up. He’d have a smoke hanging from his lips and a lukewarm Bud Light in his hand. “O.K., let’s get to work,” he'd say.
He could shoot a game of pool with the best of them, grill any critter to perfection and loved his friends and family.
He hated Tannerite, though, often choosing to shoot it and blow it to smithereens.
Josh loved his wife, Tasha Goodman, completely. He loved their daughter, Aspen, born three days after his accident. And he loved his daughter Brylee Goodman as the best kid in the world.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles “Abe” Goodman.
He is survived by his wife, Tasha Goodman and their daughter, Aspen Rae Goodman as well as his daughter Brylee Hope Goodman. He is survived by his mother Deborah Goodman. He is also survived by his father Tom Doyle and stepmother Wanda Doyle, his brothers James A. Goodman and Jason Deeter, his sisters Jennifer Goodman, Amber Zacherl, Autumn Doyle and Ashley Shuffstall, and his grandmother Mona Goodman. He also is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Thursday (June 28) from 6 - 8 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29th. Bikes are welcomed and encouraged to serve as escorts for Josh to bring him to his final resting place in Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca, following the service.
Josh will live on through all those he met, particularly his beautiful daughters, Aspen Rae Goodman and Brylee Hope Goodman.
