Jason James Billman, 33, of Erie, formerly of Seneca and Rimersburg, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Sunday morning, April 29, 2018.
He was born in Franklin on February 19, 1985 to Charles R. "Chuck" Billman, Jr. and Tammy L. (Kelchner) Hubert.
Jason was a 2003 graduate of Cranberry High School and studied electric arc welding at P.M.I. in Meadville.
He was a member of the '814 Bike Club' in Erie; and he graduated from the Erie City Mission outreach program.
Jason enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan, enjoyed the Steelers and NASCAR, and his dog, Tyson.
He worked as a welder for R&N Stainless Steel in Wisconsin and was currently employed as a welder in Erie.
He is survived by his father, Chuck Billman, Jr. of Rimersburg; his mother, Tammy L. Hubert and her husband Mark of Seneca; a sister, Jessica Davis and her husband Leland and their children, Gavin and Katelynn of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; a daughter, Sierra, of Rocky Grove; a step-brother, Evan Hubert and his fiancé Brenda and their son, Ryker; and a step-sister, Karleigh Hubert.
Also surviving is his grandmothers, Vivian Jean Smith of Rimersburg and Linda Fels and her husband Bill of Lancaster; and his aunts and uncles: Michelle McCanna of Wisconsin, Sherry Billman of Oil City, Jeff Billman of Rimersburg, Deb Douglas and husband Doug of Elizabethtown, Melissa Lee and husband Lee of Chicago, and Jami Kretzing and husband Kevin of Lancaster; and numerous cousins and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Kelchner, Charles Billman, Sr., and William Smith.
Friends will be received Wednesday (May 2) from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township, where the funeral service will follow Wednesday at 7 p.m. Rev. William Hastings, pastor of Seneca United Methodist Church will officiate.
